TGEO President and ICEO & SI 2025 Chairman

Dear colleagues and distinguished guests,
  On behalf of the Taiwan Group on Earth Observations (TGEO) and as the chair of ICEO&SI 2025, I am honored to welcome you to the International Conference on Earth Observations and Social Impacts, ICEO&SI 2025. This year’s conference is co-hosted by National United University (NUU) and TGEO. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the NUU team for their exceptional efforts in preparing the program, venue, and vibrant activities.

   Since its founding in 2010, TGEO has consistently focused on critical areas such as Natural Disasters, Health, Energy, Climate Change, Ecosystems, Agriculture, Biodiversity, Water Resources, Meteorology, and related industries. TGEO has united dedicated members who have supported ICEO&SI from its inception. Through the ongoing collaboration of our senior and junior members, co-organizers, and friends worldwide, ICEO&SI has evolved into an annual forum for those dedicated to Earth’s sustainability. It provides a space for exchanging knowledge and experiences, seeking solutions to global challenges, and offering insights to policymakers for meaningful action.
  Finally, our host city, Miao-Li—renowned for its Hakka cuisine and pleasant climate—provides an added incentive to attend ICEO&SI 2025 in person. We look forward to welcoming you and are confident the Local Organizing Committee’s efforts will make your experience both enjoyable and memorable.
